The original Golden Hinde became famous as the flagship of Sir Francis Drake during his voyage around the world, taking three years, and with the Golden Hinde being the only ship to complete the voyage.
The Golden Hinde replica has been docked in St. Mary Overie Dock, London since 1996, and acts as a Tudor-themed living-history museum, allowing visitors to find out what it was like to sail the mighty seas aboard an Elizabethan galleon during the adventurous days of the 16th century.
The beautifully maintained replica plays host to an entertaining and educational day out for the whole family, with storytelling convincingly acted out by a raft of fictional personalities, brimming with gruesome Tudor facts and high jinks.
